I’ve always been very active and interested in health and fitness. I began running track and competing at age 11. I underwent open-heart surgery at age 12, which inspired me to make running, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle my passion. I have not stopped running, exercising, or being very cognizant of my health since then. I attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, where I was a Division 1 scholarship athlete on the indoor and outdoor track teams. (200/400m) I studied Athletic Training. My studies focused on first aid, injury recognition, prevention, rehabilitation, and introduced me to the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). When I moved to Miami I continued my education in Exercise Science at Barry University and received my Masters Degree. I’ve worked as an athletic trainer and personal trainer, I love combining my two specialties. I use my knowledge to help my others find the truth behind health and fitness hype, and ultimately assist them in becoming the best version of themselves.
I also have experience with NPC Bikini. The women who train to compete are some of the most self disciplined and tough athletes you will ever find. I’ve learned a lot from my experience, and although I loved taking the stage, I prefer to live a healthy balanced life as opposed to the strict diet and training regimen I personally went through to compete. Maybe I will compete again in the future, but for right now I am open to giving others any advice on the proper training and preparation for competition!
When I train; I incorporate postural, corrective, and rehabilitative exercises into all of my clients workout plans. I work with clients from the age of 16-76. My approach; Every single body is different and should be treated that way!
